"Brilliant" <br /><br />This is as thorough and insightful a column as any commentary I've read in the mainstream media. In fact more so. You've covered it, man, like a tarp on a rainy infield. And I (just for the hell of it) tried to come up with it's equivalent in modern sports and really couldn't. Especially because of your point that he had to do it four times... beat this young field of guys for four straight days. Amazing, even in defeat. Because what he DID do is tie the best of the field at the end of four days. And if his caddy had done what you said.......<br /><br />Again, great post, pal.
