Yo, Stache... I don't mean to rub it in but I did see the Steeler game and it was tremendous. The defense was awesome! Silverback led the pack again as well the mad Samoan. Two sacks and two forced fumbles for Harrison and a league leading sixth interception for Troy. This game was huge, it seems we haven't beaten these pricks in forever. And even though Brady's not in there, Cassell just posted back to back 400 yarders. Today he had maybe 150. And when Parker re-entered the game in the fourth quarter (I thought he was hurt again) he ran like a man possessed. All in all a good game and most important no one got hurt. Bring on them Cowboys.
Best, Scribbler
PS: Forgive the blatant plug but I just posted again so please take a look.

Not rubbing it in Scrib---thx for the update. I was following the game-center thing (play by play, with arrows and shit and a brief line popping up after every play with credits on offense and defense) for a while on NFL.com and had a decent sense for the progression of the game. It did seem to me like Silverback was dominating the game. Polamalu popped up later in my "picture".
I do agree that this was a huge game. Even sans Brady this Pats team is one that no one wants to face in the playoffs---they may not have the consistency to bring it every week, but on any given day they can hand you a beating.
Interestingly, from the game cast I was following it looked like Moore was much more effective than Parker for the bulk of the game.
Anyways, I'll try and post some musings on football later tonite.

Sir Stache,
not to drag this out but if you really want a recap of what the Steelers defense did yesterday, go to "Post Gazette" (the local Pgh. Daily) go to "Sports"... "Steelers"... then scroll down to the article "Even Injured, Harrison a Terror". Terrific stuff! You'll especially like the snippet about Casey Hampton where he said to the ref, "Hold this!"
Enjoy,
Scribbler
PS: Thanks for your comment back at The Stick. (You sick puppy!)

Thanks for the link heads-up Scrib. That was revealing---I didn't know Harrison was injured. And while it makes his performance even greater, it does give me some pause. I hope that problem doesn't flare up again. I think the great D will become only a good D if we lose Harrison. The worst part about playing such a beast of a reg season schedule is trying to get to the postseason somewhat healthy.
